Tiger Wrestling Network

April 11, 2012
We've had the "Forum" section since this site was published. It was a section for parents/wrestlers to ask questions, have discussions, etc... It has more or less "died" recently due to inactivity. I got on recently to look, and noticed that we had a few random "guests" signed up. Some were people that I know have nothing to do with our wrestling program. One (a more welcomed guest) was Mike Stidham, from Ultimate Combat Experience. I thought it was way cool that a guy like him would be posting in our forums, especially with the information he was posting. However; I still had people signed up that didn't need to be there, and that would always be a problem, as anyone who finds this site can create an account. To stop this, I am presenting the "Socialize" tab. We have our own social network similar to Facebook, where we will be storing pictures, and streaming videos of our matches. The only way to view this site is by getting approved by yours truly, so I don't think that we'll have this issue again. Sign up for it by clicking the above tab, or even by clicking HERE. This will definitley be nice for my computer's hard drive, as there is no way that I can store them all for too long if I want it to perform better!

Giving Thanks

July 11, 2011
I just wanted to make sure that I post a nice thank you to my wife Alexandra. She has been with me 110% while coaching at the schools that I have been at. She is a Bonneville graduate, but was very excited to see me go back to my roots here at Ogden High School. She has been fantastic since day one about my schedule, and how much time I give to my program, and the athletes in it. She was good enough to allow me to help one of my wrestlers in a "crisis" during one of our date nights.....and I ...

Shout Out!

July 8, 2011
Quick shout out to my man Justin Roberts for dropping in last night at practice. Justin is one of our local, more well known, MMA fighters. He came in hopes of having some grappling practice, and to learn a little technique. Justin, I hope you had a blast with everyone that you had a chance to roll with! Thanks for coming in!

Another note; Our numbers last night were great! We were able to have some great group drills, and some even better wrestling. The speed at which this program is grow...

Star Wrestlers

July 7, 2011

So far, we have had two star wrestlers! Great job Colten and Jared! These two young men are both showing everyone what a little hard work can do for you. I would love to see some new faces get this award! There are some wrestlers who place themselves as front runners for this award day in and day out, so my wish is to see them continue to work as hard as they are now to win this award! The way things are going, it is very likely that one of our 9th or 10th grade boys will be winning this awar...

Week 1 Complete

June 25, 2011
Lifting has been great! The boys are all working hard towards next season. The max lifting test were all completed yesterday, with some lifts coming in with some big weights! Future sophomore, Agustin Garcia, was able to put up his body weight on the bench press with some relative ease. Our man Victor was hitting up Bar Lunges like a champion. Things were all around looking good. It was time to put the kids to the test.....The Plate Workout!

Here are the rules of the uber tough Plate Workout. ...

First day of lifting and practice...Impressions

June 21, 2011

I gotta admit, I was skeptic on how we would look numbers wise when we first started. I knew that my Bears would come up and represent, what I didn't know; is what kind of turnout we would have when I initiated our summer practices.

I was put into total shock to see that we had pretty decent numbers last Thursday for the wrestling practice. These are all kids who have wrestled before, allowing my coaching staff and I to teach on the fly while generating an amazing workout for those involved. I...
